Apply images to surfaces in Autodesk Inventor using the decal feature. Using the decal feature allows 2D images to be wrapped to 3D surfaces within Inventor part files. To apply an image to a surface, create a plane tangent to the surface, then create a 2d sketch and add the image to the sketch. Then, finish the sketch and create a decal by selecting the image and then the surface to which you would like to wrap the image to.
