This video shows you how to link a button on your site to a downloadable file using Website Builder 7. First, be sure the file you want to add to your site is available on your computer's hard drive, and is no larger than 30 megabytes. The file can be a Word document, text file, spreadsheet, PDF or similar type of file, but not an image or audio file. Next, create the button that will download the file. Open your site in Website Builder designer and go to the page on your site where you want to add the button. Scroll down the designer toolbar to Button and click it. A button appears on the page. You can reposition the button on the page by pointing to its dotted border until you see a double arrow, then while holding down your mouse, drag it into place. Double-click your new button to open the Settings window. In the Label field, type the text you want on the button. In the Link field, click the red arrow, and then click Upload. In the File Manager, you can either browse to the file on your local drive or drag it from its location on your computer and drop it into the File Manager. When the file has fully uploaded to the File Manager, you'll see this check mark. Click Insert. On the Settings window, click Save. Now check to see if your button works; click "Preview" and then click the button. The file downloads to your computer just like it's supposed to. Remember to click Publish when you're ready to make the button and file available on your website.
